3 Healthy and Delicious Smoothies- Green, Beetroot and Cacao

One of the most easiest and healthiest breakfasts are smoothies, but the more fruit you add to it, the higher the sugar content, which makes them not so healthy anymore.

While fruit adds fibre, vitamins and minerals, the sugar, in any form, gives you a steep rise in blood sugar and a steep crash.

Here's some delicious and healthy smoothies with less than 2 serves of fruit. All quick and easy to make, chop up all the ingredients, put in the blender for a minute or so and then they are ready to drink.

Green Zinger

Handful of spinach

1x green apple

1x celery stalk

1x orange- peeled

1cm slice of ginger- peeled

1/2 cup of filtered water (add a little more depending on desired consistency)

Purple Power

1/2 beetroot- peeled

1x green apple

1/2 cup broccoli

1/2 avocado

1 cup frozen mixed berries

1/2 cup almond milk (or alternative)

Cacao Dream

1 cup almond milk (or alternative)

1 tbls cacao powder

1/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

1 tblp pure honey
